Need Your Help, Friends and Family

Good morning family and friends…yes, it’s morning for me. I am writing to share quite a bit of news with you today. In the recent past I sent out postcards to all my supporters (if I don’t have your address I couldn’t send one to you so please e-mail it to me, and for those that I have your address I tried so if you didn’t get it, know it may be somewhere in Africa :) ). In that postcard I shared with them that through much prayer and consideration I have decided to stay another year. This was not an easy decision for me but it is super clear that He is asking me to stay. Praise Him for such amazing clarity and peace with the decision.

The second thing I’m writing to you all about is the recent events happening here in Senegal. This coming Sunday, February 26th, the new president will be voted on. As of right now there is already quite a bit of unrest about the situation. Please ask Him for safety for our cousins doing work here in dangerous areas. Thank Him for the safety He has provided me in the location that I am at and the security He has given us.

The last thing I ask for is for you to first thank Him for the encouragement and confidence in staying another year. Please ask Him for the following:

-  Safety here in Senegal and a smooth election

- clear transition from one-year volunteer to full-time “M”

- the ability to raise support while here over the coming months (especially more prayer support)

Thank you all, sorry this post was a bit more technical, but I wanted you to know the most recent updates. Love and miss you all dearly,

Jackie

It is 4:38 a.m. in Indianapolis and I just read your blog. First, I am so proud of you and thankful that you are open to the HS for direction. This will provide inner peace regardless of external situations. Second, it is my opinion that this is a much bigger decision than choosing to go for the first year in that it evidences your personal commitment to the work of G in spite of less than ideal circumstances and challenges you didn’t anticipate. He is fully aware of the process you are going through in releasing your ease and safety for the sake of the cause.

You will, of course, have our continued prayers and support because we love you and believe in you.

Thank-you so much Grandma and Grandpa C. It is always a great encouragement to know that I have your support and that you believe in the work that He has me doing. Thank you so much for being so consistent. You are right, staying another year was a very difficult decision especially with baby Rylan being here and also thinking about work for the future, but He has a plan and right now I am just faithfully submitting to this ride of life that he has me on. I am excited about this next year and joyful to be right where I know He wants me.
      Love you both very much.
